Last night I was lying in bed praying and giving thanks to God for my husband. I do this quite often for I am always astounded that we have found each other, in spite of ourselves. I believe that God creates a wonderful path for each of us, one that is best for us and fives us the most of everything. Just like when we take a trip.
We are here and want to get to St. Petersburg, Fla., the beach of course. We chart our path, put the information into the GPS. But along the way things happen, someone has to potty, everyone is hungry, and I need coffee! So we get off the path, the GPS say “recalculating” and changes our route a little to get us back onto the right path.
I believe that our path in life, on our way home to heaven, is the same. Jesse and I both have had to take some long detours to get us back on the right path, to each other and to heaven. I believe that God has always been leading me toward Jesse. I have learned so much about, life, love, and God through my relationship with him. I would not change the detours for they have brought me and Jesse tow amazing blessings, but I will be more careful in the future to stay on God’s path from now on. He loves me more than I could ever begin to understand, and only has the very best planned for me.
I do rest well, though, knowing, because of His amazing love for me, if I do make a mistake and head down the wrong path God will “recalculate”and lead me back to my right path home.
